Former San Ramon police officer pleads guilty to involvement in CNET scandal
Louis Lombardi, 39, pleaded guilty before a federal judge in Oakland this morning to four misdemeanor counts for stealing thousands of
dollars in cash and property during searches of suspects' homes and to five counts for possessing and selling drugs and stolen firearms while he worked on the Central Contra Costa County Narcotics Enforcement Team, or CNET. (Friday, 10:11 AM)
Business park 'plagued' by thefts
While auto burglaries are fairly common in San Ramon, employees at one office park have fallen victim to a rash of thefts from their cars and places of employment. Over the past two weeks, there have been 10 auto and commercial burglaries and grand thefts in and around Bishop Ranch. (Friday, 1:08 PM)

Oversight committee 'confident' in its review of district's parcel tax
An independent citizens committee commissioned to provide oversight into the San Ramon Valley Unified School District's 2009 parcel tax has deemed that funds were used appropriately. San Ramon Regional hospital named primary stroke center
After undergoing an on-site evaluation and demonstrating compliance with nationally developed standards for stroke care, the San Ramon Regional Medical Center has earned a "Gold Seal of Approval" for certification as a Primary Stroke center. (Thursday, 11:26 AM)

Citizen superheroes now equipped with Android devices
Android users will now be able to save lives alongside their iPhone fan counterparts. "The app crowd-sources good Samaritans to events where the potential need for bystander CPR is high," said Fire Chief Richard Price. City Council reexamines city priorities at first goal-setting session
