City launches new e-mail service
San Ramon hopes to better serve residents

Share
The city of San Ramon is launching a new e-mail and digital subscription solution to enhance the way residents receive and access municipal information.

As part of its Web site enhancement, San Ramon is implementing a subscription service that will allow residents to subscribe to topics of interest and receive free, instant e-mail alerts when this information is updated. Another wonderful feature is that it allows for instant notification in emergency situations.

City officials are excited that the system will help residents get the information they want as quickly and efficiently as possible.

"We're very proud to be the first city in Contra Costa County to offer this kind of service to our citizens," said Mayor Abram Wilson. "It exemplifies our ongoing commitment to provide efficient delivery of quality public services to those who live and work in San Ramon, through an accessible and responsive city government.

"The city is constantly looking for innovative ways to expand and improve our digital community. This new system offers personalized email and text message updates from our city, putting you in control of the types of information you receive, the time frame in which it is communicated, and the means by which it is delivered."

San Ramon expected to launch the subscription service throughout its Web site www.sanramon.ca.gov on July 1. Signing up is free, easy and risk-free for residents. Links to sign up are on the home page and on the individual pages that are being offered up for subscription. The only information required is an e-mail address, and subscribers can change their subscription details or cancel the service at any time.
