There really was a kind simplicity to it. Women, whose paths would unlikely cross, came together and simply talked. To a passerby, the afternoon lunch meeting at the Shepherd's Gate campus could have appeared to be a book club or any sort of getting-know-you social, but what happened on that rainy afternoon was more, much more.

This is one great organization that deserves support from our community for the lives they literally save with these women and children. I have supported them for some years and though there have been some "up's and down's" I continue to believe they provide a much needed service to the East Bay.
