Orinda mayor files papers to run for Buchanan's seat in state Assembly

Orinda mayor and gubernatorial adviser Steve Glazer filed papers Tiesday to run for the 16th Assembly District as the first official candidate in the 2014 election. The district includes parts of Contra Costa and Alameda counties and is currently run by Joan Buchanan, who will term out in 2014.

I'm not sure what a gubernatorial adviser is actually, but I really wish that the republicans would find a legitimate candidate with real qualifications and name recognition. No offense, but most people don't know any elected officials from Orinda,
