Four people displaced in San Ramon apartment fire

No one was injured but four people were displaced in a kitchen fire reported this morning at a San Ramon apartment complex, a fire district spokeswoman said. The fire appears to have been sparked by something cooking in the kitchen, but investigators are still looking into the exact cause.

You'd figure after a few fires within the past few years, they'd figure out some sort of way to prevent this from happening again and again. Fire sprinklers, a centralized alarm system, etc. all play a role in active fire protection for a building. Not only that but they can reduce the cost of insurance on the property and to its tenants. Just food for thought.
