Canine police unit honored with portraits

San Ramon police dogs Dar, Deny and Bongo were honored for their services on Friday, Oct. 7 at Bollinger Canyon Animal Hospital. The canines were given special treats and local artist Lori Depole presented their handlers with portraits of the animals to be hung on the hospital walls.

This is a wonderful tribute to the human animal bond and how animals are an integral part of all our lives in so many ways. Congratulations Dr. Block.

I can't say enough about our Canine Unit and their "parents". I remember when Dar first came to San Ramon and what a dedicated "officer" he became.

Thank you to the Bollinger Canyon Vet. Hospital and the other veterinarians in our community that have taken care of and helped get the special equipment for these "special officers".
