PG&E; on Monday issued an apology along with 45 reports dating back to August 2006 detailing reviews, monitoring, testing, and corrections identified in the company's SmartMeter program.

Kudos for their apology because indeed, they missed the mark on managing the Smart Meter program (they still haven't responded to me regarding one of my meters...ah, well) When this much outcry far and wide is heard, ANY reputable/serviceable company should pause...take note and record - INSTEAD of voicing that those registering a concern (and there have been MANY) don't know what their talking about. Glad their apology is "in print" - now let's see how they perform in cleaning up the complaints if not the smart meter's inconsistencies, as well.
